This article reflects the theoretical concepts that were based on the foundation and elaboration of the pedagogical model of the self-management competence of the learning activity by modern students. In this context, the components of the pedagogical model of the self-management skills of the student learning activity are determined: purpose, the structural dimension of the self-management competence of the learning activity in the students, the functional dimension of the competence, the principles, the pedagogical conditions of self-management skills development of student learning activity, the strategies of self-management skills development of students' learning activity and the easy-to-use contexts of practicing the self-management competence of learning activity in students, finality.
