<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>The paper refers to a process for forming the crown of the apple tree in the form of a slender spindle with a vertical central axis, weakly curved and well branched, with a single level of semiskeletal branches and fruiting branches. The Granny Smith variety was used, grafted onto the M9 rootstock and planted at a distance of 3.2 x 0.8 m. Before planting, a trellis was installed and 5 wires spaced 50, 80, 160, 240, 320 cm from the ground were fixed. The process of training the central axis includes: the bending of the vigorous axis and its fixation in horizontal position in spring in the first year after planting at the onset of the bud opening; the selection of an extension shoot of the central axis and pruning of vertical shoots at the collar when they reach a length of 20-25 cm; the fixation of the extension shoot in vertical position, in July.</p></description>
<description xml:lang='ro' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>Lucrarea se referă la un procedeu de formare a coroanei pomului de măr &icirc;n formă de fus zvelt cu ax central vertical, slab cotit şi bine garnisit cu un singur nivel de ramuri de semischelet şi ramuri de rod. S-a utilizat soiul Granny Smith, altoit pe portaltoiul M9, plantat la distanța de 3,2 x 0,8 m. &Icirc;nainte de plantare a fost instalat spalier și fixate 5 s&acirc;rme distanțate la 50, 80, 160, 240, 320 cm de la sol. Procedeul de dresare a axului central la măr include: arcuirea axului puternic şi negarnisit cu fixarea lui &icirc;n poziţie orizontală primăvara &icirc;n primul an după plantare la &icirc;nceputul dezmuguririi; selectarea unui lăstar de prelungire a axului central cu tăierea la inel a lăstarilor verticali la atingerea lungimii lor de 20-25 cm; fixarea lăstarului de prelungire &icirc;n poziţie verticală, &icirc;n luna iulie.</p></description>
