It is known that many nitrofuran derivatives are widely used in medical practice as antimicrobial drugs. In many cases the biological activity of these compounds consists with their structure. Therefore, the synthesis and the determination of crystal structure features of new nitrofuran derivatives are of both scientific and practical interest. In the present research N-(2-methoxyphenyl)-2-[(5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene]hydrazinecarbothioamide (I) and bis{N-(3-methoxyphenyl)-2-[(5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene]hydrazinecarbothioamido}nickel dimethylformamide solvate [Ni(L-H)2].DMF (II) (L is N-(3-methoxyphenyl)-2[(5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene]hydrazinecarbothioamide) were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by X-ray analysis. The C=N-NH-CS core of I is planar within 0.041 Ǻ. The dihedral angle of 5-membered ring with mentioned backbone is equal to 8.1°.The C-H…N hydrogen bonds link molecules of I into 3D-hydrogen-bonded network (Fig. 1a). In II the Ni atom is tetracoordinated with a square planar geometry (Fig. 1b). The studied complex and solvent molecules are involved in 3D-hydrogen-bonded network by C-H…S(O, N) H-bonds (Fig. 1c). |
