The aim of this work is the study of structural features of N-(3- and 4-methoxyphenyl)2-pyridin-2ylmethylene)hydrazinecarbothioamides (HL1 and HL2, respectively) and copper and zinc coordination compounds with composiotion Cu(L1-2)Cl and ZnL2Cl2. The crystal structures of all studied compounds weredetermined by X-ray analysis. The C=N-NH-CS cores of HL1 and HL2 are planar within 0.016 and 0.062 Ǻ. The dihedral angles of pyridin rings with mentioned backbones in these compounds are equal to 8.7 and 4.9° respectively. In the crystal structure of HL1 the molecules form the layers by N-H…N hydrogen bonds, while in HL2 the molecules are joined in centrosymmetric dimmers by N-H…S H-bonds (Fig. 1a, b). In all studied complexes the organic ligands are coordinated to the metal atoms in a tridentate manner. In complex of Cu(L1)Cl, the copper atom is tetracoordinated with a square planar geometry and the 4-th coordination site is occupied by Cl atom (Fig. 1c). The coordination polyhedron of the central ions in Cu(L2)Cl and ZnL2Cl2 can be described as a distorted square pyramids where the 4-and 5-th coordination sites are occupied by Cl atoms. But in the crystal the complex of Cu(L2)Cl forms the centrosymmetric dimmers with bridging chlorine atoms (Fig. 1c-e). |
