<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>In this paper was studied the reaction between tetramethylthiurame disulphide and 6-amino-4-hydroxy-2-naphtalenesulphonic acid, being known that this acid is a very important intermediate in colours industry. The synthesis was performed varying molar ratio between reagents, the reaction time, temperature and solvent used. The N&prime;-(4-hydroxy-2-sulpho-6-naphtalene)-N, N-dimethylthioureea obtained was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV and&nbsp;<sup>1</sup>H-NMR spectroscopy.</p></description>
