State security is an essential element of its existence. The inability to effectively counter threats can lead the country to a state of instability and, as a result, cause the loss of power, the seizure of territories by criminal groups or even its occupation. That is why it is extremely important to have a full and comprehensive understanding of state security issues, especially in the context of new challenges that are actively emerging in our time. Some of the threats to the security of the state, if adequate and timely measures are not taken to them, can evolve from local to regional and global scale. One of these threats was the coronavirus infection СOVID19, which has produced a direct impact on all areas of state security. In this regard, a state of emergency has been declared in the Republic of Moldova and a number of emergency measures have been adopted. The article analyzes the negative impact of coronavirus infection on the following security areas: geopolitical security, political security, defense (military) security, economic security, social security, environmental security, scientific and technical security, information security, demographic security, food security, cultural security, energy security. The authors propose a number of measures to counter and prevent the negative consequences of coronavirus infection. |
