Rezumat

The COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed our lives. As a result, many industries suffered. One of them is tourism. Companies that have developed distribution channels for services/products on the Internet have felt the effects of the corona virus to a much lesser extent. Tourism is another branch of the economy that is increasingly visible on the Internet. Digitization is an inevitable phenomenon. Such an unexpected event as a Sars-CoV-2 epidemic only reinforces the view that many companies need to go digital. Of course, in a sector like tourism, you can't travel online, but there are many processes that can be streamlined online. You can improve service convenience, communication and increase sales. You can also customize the offer and approach the customer individually. The rapid pace of IT innovation over the past decade, often referred to as the Digital Revolution, has completely changed the way businesses operate. Tourism is one of the first sectors to embrace digitalization through online sales of flights and hotel rooms. The rise of online travel agents (OTAs) is one of the most spectacular examples of the digital transformation of distribution channels in the tourism industry.
