Rezumat

In terms of developing additional aquaculture facilities, expanding the range of fish products and developing the genetic fund of rare and endangered fish in the region, work has begun on the formation of tench pond populations. Given the large number of suitable habitats for this species, the reintroduction made it possible to introduce this valuable fish into pond aquaculture and start targeted work. The creation of pond populations was carried out at the expense of groups of different ages. Pond (domesticated) tench populations were created from groups of different ages in the central zone of the republic (Verejeni fish hatchery), where four-year-olds reached a weight of 200-350 g (females 275, males 258 g) and in the northern zone (Cubolta fish farm), where seven-year-olds reached a weight of 940- 1215 g (females 1200, males 915 g). For its cultivation, feeding non-draining ponds with an area of 20-50 ha were selected, where 8-9 year-olds with an average weight of 1300-1950 g were planted to obtain juveniles with the same sex ratio. Additional information is provided on the tench distribution/abundance in this region and its limiting factors, as well as the possible impact of this fish on aquatic biota.
