The article describes various approaches and methods used in the process of teaching and learning foreign languages. The problem of creating new, more efficient methods of teaching foreign languages has emerged with the development of high technologies, the globalization of the economy, and a more advanced system of public communication. The teacher plays a crucial role in choosing the optimal approach and the best method for each lesson or activity. The importance of the addressed topic stems from the student's interest in learning a foreign language, from the teacher's effort to support him, and from the high demands of the labour market, which create a challenge for the teaching and learning of foreign languages. Possession of one or more foreign languages and the capacity to meet the four language competences of reading, writing, speaking, and listening are among the qualifications demanded by employers of graduates. |
