Rezumat

The article analyzes the practice of providing public services by the private sector in the Republic of Moldova, based on some statistical facts and concrete examples of cooperation, both at the republican level and at the local level. The companies, that have a strategic importance in the economies of many countries, cannot be privatized, and there are also insufficient financial resources in the state budget for their development. This situation can be solved by combining the state resources with the potential of its property and the business sphere, which has the financial means to invest in these companies. Moreover, the private sector can contribute to the partnership with its managerial experience. The article notes the advantages and disadvantages of public-private partnership. It also contains a reference to the practice of the member states of the European Union. In particular, there is a list of some recommendations on achieving the efficiency of the being implemented projects of public-private partnership.
