Foreign investments play a significant role in financing the socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova and building its investment potential. It is an important condition for the development of the investment sector in the economy of the Republic of Moldova. The foreign investments influx contributes to raising the technical level of production, attracting foreign technologies, using world experience in management and marketing, integrating the Moldovan economy into the world economy, expanding the tax base, and diversifying export production. The purpose of this study is, based on such research methods as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, logical analysis, methods of structural and system analysis etc., to identify the main trends in attracting investments to the Republic of Moldova at the present stage of development and to identify the prospects for their increase.
