The desire to have children is one of the essential needs of most people. This need is one of the social and psychological properties of a person, which experiences certain difficulties in self-realization without the presence of children. Like any sphere of public life, surrogacy must be regulated by law. This is due to the fact that family relations always acquire the character of socially significant relations. In addition, the problem of demography in the Republic of Moldova is a state problem. Artificial insemination, namely surrogacy, has become one of the ways to solve demographic problems today. However, at present, the practice of implementing legislation on surrogacy has shown the existence of many gaps. At the legislative level, the interests of a born child, a surrogate mother and biological parents are not protected. Thus, in this article, a licking some of the existing gaps in surrogacy in the Republic of Moldova.
