The article elucidates some aspects related to the influence of globalization processes on tolerance in contemporary societies. It is mentioned that the problem of tolerance is, first of all, the way in which people can reach mutual understanding and organize life together, in the conditions of profound differences in social status, interests, opinions, values, beliefs, etc. Post-industrial transformations in different societies do not lead to the solution of social problems and, respectively, do not stimulate the increase of tolerance neither at the national level, nor at the level of the international community.
