Rezumat

The article analyzed the factors and components necessary to the process of gender socialization of children. Attention is paid to the role of the family, the parents, the child's age, the child's needs, modalities of children‘ gender roles construction. Beyond the educational styles and techniques applied in family and educational institutions, namely the presence of a complete families with appropriate social and gender roles is the most important condition for the formation of gender identity. Gender identity formation requires correlation with potential and needs of girls and boys, achieving personal and social comfort. As important factors is presented parents gender competences and the conditions of gender socialization process. Parents gender competences training will facilitate gender socialization function in relation to their children, as well as their personal gender resocialization.
