The article addresses the issue of cultural heritage protection in the Republic of Moldova. Since the 2000s, several elements have been entered in the heritage register, including the traditional carpet, carols, legends, ballads, choirs, stories, the tradition of martisoru and in turn is the whole universe of the costume. The culture acquired and registered in the Register has a status of culture protected by the state and are limited to a special regime that ensures the protection, transmission and development of this heritage. An important role in the transmission and capitalization of the patrimony is played by the family, the educational institutions, the state and the community. If ethnologists, ethnographers, folklorists, sociologists, anthropologists, research, identify the cultural heritage, then an important task falls to the state, which values the heritage through cultural policies.
