Rezumat

The results of the evaluation through questionnaires of selfgovernment levels in communication and style of behavior in a sample of family physicians that included 101 persons with different professional experience, from 0-5 years to 21 years and over are presented. Predominant is the medium level of self-government in communication – 72.3±4.5%. A high level is observed at a low number of respondents, 2,9±1,7%. In this group there are no individuals with experience above 15 years. A significant number of doctors shows a low level of self-government, 24,8 ±4,2%. In matter of style of behavior, the common one in all groups, regardless of experience, is the style II, i.e. the orientation upon process. A small number of doctors showed style IV, oriented for perspective, 16,8±3,7% – style I, oriented for actions. Style III, oriented to people, showed an increasing trend depending on length of work. A large number of respondents with an indeterminate style are in the group with experience of 0-5 years. These results show the need for psychological testing and training of family physicians, especially in the beginning of their work activity.
