Rezumat

The military service is placed to the benefit of society, through the political-legal regulation of the military service relations, „army-society” relations reprezenting one of the key factors of the national security and stability. The military service and the society interact and impact each other: the military institution is the state institution, exceeding the simple function of a state instrument, due to the functions which it has in the society and its quality of a military power of the people. In this sense, the „army-society” relation is of a special type, with numerous valences and condiitons, this significant relation for the configuration of a credible national security system often being understood and treated simplistically.
