The article affirms that among service cooperatives for entrepreneurs, an important role belongs to dental cooperatives. The dentists’ cooperatives are created to solve dentists’ professional problems. In attempt to achieve that goal, the cooperatives of dentists provide following basic services: purchase of all necessities for dental activities at wholesale prices, informational support and professional training of practicing dentists – members of the cooperative, establishing cooperation with various organizations. All this requires effective organization of the cooperative. Properly prepared project of the cooperative and its further successful implementation are the basis of its future efficiency. In global practice at the stage of creating a cooperative, the initiative group prepares a concept of the cooperative. This is in fact the project of creating a cooperative. This article describes the structure of the concept of the dentists’ cooperative. The meaning of the concept consists of several important points for its potential members. Firstly it’s forming a holistic view of the organization and specifics of the cooperative's activities, and secondly – preparing the main positions of the statute, as well as business and strategic plans. It is concluded that establishing of dental cooperatives is quite promising for modern dental practice of post-Soviet states.
