This article is dedicated to impact assessment of main human activities within the Byc River Basin on propagation of the flood wave and on main hydrological characteristics of pluvial floods which are generated in the basin. The biggest impact on floods is performed by reservoirs operation especially by the Ghidighici reservoir which is situated in the central part of the basin upstream of mun. Chisinau. Overall, the peak flow of the Byc river and its tributaries decreases by 0.3-4.9% due to reservoir operation. There also can be observed a decreasing of the Byc river peak flow of different probabilities up to 40% under the impact of Ghidighici reservoir. |
