The efficient listening within the Romanian teaching classes for Russian students imply a preliminary selection of the texts which will be listened. An important condition for a successful understanding of the text by the students is for the teacher to be aware of the following factors: the students’ motivation  knowing of the student age features, the development level of psychological mechanisms, the aim of the listening where student will take part, the existence of the verbal support, the type of the chosen text students experience and the listening quality of the information. By knowing the selection criteria of the text the teacher will perform a better quality of the Romanian language teaching-learning process for a certain category of students.
