Rezumat | ||||||
Organizations are realizing that intellectual capital or intellectual knowledge is a valuable asset that can be managed as effectively as physical assets in order to improve performance. Knowledge is largely cognitive and highly personal, while management involves organizational processes. Many knowledge workers do not like to be managed in the traditional sense. However, knowledge is increasingly recognized as a crucial organizational resource, that gives market leverage. Its management is therefore too important to be left to chance. The database professionals of today are the Knowledge Managers of the future, and they will play an integral role in making these connections possible. |
