Karl Bühler’sinterdiciplinary research – at the borders between philosophy, linguistics, and psychology – anticipated contemporary tendencies in linguistics. The organon model of language that he proposed argues for the necessity of starting linguistic research by examining the concrete speech event, a fact that allows him not to neglect the expressive-affective aspect or the pragmatic aspect, as well as the aspect – considered central historically in language research – of representing states of affairs/ objects.
