Rezumat

The consumer plays a vital role in the economy of any state. An empowered consumer can influence the economic development of the state by motivating competition and innovation within the business environment. Consumer’s decision-making is not just a matter of their rights, but is also related to the establishment of a global environment that enables consumers to exercise those rights and to take benefit from them. In the modern society, the consumer enjoys the supply of numerous goods and services, but at the same time he is at the risk of becoming the victim of some dishonest offers and of the aggression of confusing marketing, or simply deceiving his expectations. The consumer must know his rights to avoid the risks of being deceived and to know how to obtain compensation when he finds out that he has been an innocent victim, for this interfere the consumer protection act, which is achieved through institutions and actions in the field.
