Rezumat

In the historical area of Neamt it rises Pângărați Monastery, wodden foundation of lord Stefan the Great, burned by the ottomans in 1476, raised from the wallby Alexandru Lăpuşneanu in the middle of the 16th century. In the present material we publish the description of the archangelist of Varnava at November 8, 1849, under the title „Description for the documents of Pângărați Monastery, namely the Pângărați estate, the Ivăneşti estate, the Sărata estate, the fifty lands in Băloşăşti, the Braicău estate, over the Prut river and the small monastery from the Pietrii City, which description has been written now” The summaries of the documents give us information about the king’s taxes, shopping and property violations, testimonies, bishops, metropolitans, egumen, the meeting place of the monastery in Piatra Neamt which can serve gathering total informations about the past of the Pângăraţi monastery and the villages and estates under its direct control. Among the properties of the Pângăraţi Monastery are also the Braicău estate over the Prut River in the Soroca region referred to by the summaries of ten documents from 5 August 1807 and 1831.
