Rezumat

The paper presents the results of several series of industrial crossbreeding. Using Yorkshire and Landrace boars have increased the prolificacy by 0.9-1.0 piglets. For the crossing of Yorkshire x Duroc bi-racial sows and Landrace x Pietrain bi-racial boars there was established a superiority according to the weight of the lot and that of a piglet at the age of 45 days, which was 144.4 kg and 20.9 kg. At the end of testing of commercial hybrids, according to fattening capacity and carcass there came to prominence hybrids obtained from crossing Landrace  and Landrace sows with Duroc boars, who had a precocity of 180-185 days, yielding an average daily gain of 685-704 g. At slaughter, the hybrids had 20.0 to 18.0 mm thickness of fat layer and ham weight of 10.8 to 11.0 kg. Commercial hybrids from crossing of Yorkshire x Landrace biracial sows with Pietrain boars have reached a body weight of 100 kg at the age of 175 days, 17.5 mm thickness of the fat layer and 11.6 kg weight of ham.
