The state of genetic resources of the horse breeding of Ukraine is reflected in the article: pedigree composition, amount of common and pedigree total number of livestock, amount of subjects of pedigree business and leading directions of their activity. The basic factors of slump of economic activity of subjects of pedigree business in the domestic horse breeding are analyses, the threatening state of most breeds of horse in Ukraine on an amount and quality of total number of livestock is marked. The ways of saving of domestic gene pool of horse on condition of renewal of general economic policy of agriculture and actually stock-raising are lighted up.
