This article analyses the changes that have occurred in the age structure and sex of migrants from Republic Moldova in the period 2001-2011. As sources were used census data from 2001 and 2011 round spent in the host countries of the EU and Russia. According to the data analysed in the period 2001-2011 increased intensity of migration in all young and working age groups– 25-49 years. Compared to 2001, in 2011 the number of female migrants has increased about twice, and the high masculinity ratio in 2001-107 men to 100 women, decreased by 2011 registering 84 men per 100 women. |
