Rezumat

Libraries try to sustain and strengthen the OA “movement”, but perhaps it is now time to move to the second generation of OA? Education and training in OA must be prioritized for the sustainability of scientific production and access for everybody to scientific information. However, people are important. They must have knowledge about OA and thus to be the key of sustainability, and preparing the next generation of advocates, are important for implementing OA policies. We will present a qualitative research asking students what they know and not, and what they assume they need for life-long learning, we also asked what they need from LIS professionals. The survey was done at University of Transilvania in Brasov, Romania.  Comparing the results with other international OA courses, we drafted a model syllabus for a course in OA after all findings from our research, establishing course goal and course content.
