The problem of quality of life of patients suffering from chronic diffuse liver disease, including those surgery assisted for portal hypertension, is a serious and important issue. Chronic liver disease has a strong impact on the economy and the daily lives of patients. In this sense, the task of specialist is not only to identify an appropriate therapy of patient, but also to assist in the „social” management of the disease. We appreciate that a multimodal treatment (medical / endoscopic / surgical) has a potential positive impact on quality of life and improve disease severity. |
