They echocardiographicly, 76 patients with thoracic scoliosis and estimated prevalence of valvular abnormality in the preoperative and postoperative period. The prevalence of asymptomatic cardiac abnormalities were determined in 50 (65,7%) patients with thoracic scoliosis. Valvular heart disease incidence was in 20 patients (26,3%) with mitral valve prolapse and 4 (5,2%) with tricuspid valvular prolapse. Most often, mitral valve prolapse was detected (P <0,05), that didn’t correlat with sex or scoliotic curve magnitude. Echocardiographicly were appreciated development abnormalities of valvular apparatus as cordage additional in 26 pacients (34,2%) patients. It was found pronounced disturbances of pulmonary hemodynamics. Also, was found increased pulmonary artery pressure, which led to increased cardiac afterload and morphofunctional changes of ventricular parameters corresponding to the majority of patients with gr. III-IV thoracic scoliosis. These changes were frequently (57%), in left oriented scoliotic deformity, in the upper and middle thoracic regions. |
