<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'>The present article brings up the results of critical study of genus Thesium L. (Santalaceae) for the flora of Republic of Moldova which comprises 4 species: Thesium arvense Horvát., Th. caespitans 
(Ledeb.) Tzvel., Th. linophyllon L. şi Th. brachyphyllum Boiss., the latter one is a new for the republic. The presence of Th. ebracteatum Hayne is considered to be doubtful in the flora of the republic. The dichotomic key for species determination, as well as brief taxonomic, bioecological, distributional and habitat 
characters for each species is given.
