The current issue of „Didactica Pro..." journal is dedicated to the ecologic education, which is an important issue for the Mankind's present and future. Being aware of the importance the educational system has in the ecologisation process of the society, we have focused our attention on some of the most essential aspects related to the theme, as: • Educational institutions the mission of which is to prepare/train future specialists in ecology, as well as research teams which elaborate didactic materials for the primary, secondary, etc. educational levels. • Ecology specialists, who had debated the global problems at the beginning of the XXI century and what would be the implications/consequences for the Republic of Moldova. They had also emphasized the necessity to form the ecological awareness. • Materials that contain the idea of a durable development of the society and what is the most important - the indispensable connection between the ecology and the human's soul. • The role of the school in the ecological education had been elucidated in a series of columns on the following topics: - Ecological culture and civic participation. - Youth involvement in the environment programs. - Ecological education of the pupils through debate.
