В научной статье на основе существующего массива нормативно-правовых актов проанализировано текущее состояние газового рынка Украины, раскрыты основные положения и проблемы ключевых законов этой отрасли: «О нефти и газе», «О принципах функционирования рынка природного газа» и последнего за-конопроекта – «О рынке природного газа».Раскрыты основные положения и принципы, определяющие модель организа-ции рынка газа в Европейском Союзе, поскольку именно эти принципы ложатся в основу создания нового рынка газа Украины – открытого и конкурентоспособного.

Based on the existing array of legal acts this scientific article analyzes the current state of the gas market of Ukraine, reveals the main provisions and problems of key laws of this industry: the Oil and Gas Act, the principles of functioning of the natural gas market Act, and the last draft of the natural gas market Act.It outlines the main provisions and principles that define the model of the organization of the gas market in the European Union, as these principles underlie the creation of a new open and competitive Ukrainian gas market.
