The Japca monastery, located on a terrace on the right bank of the Dniester River, is the only Moldovan monastic complex operating continuously since its foundation. A center of spirituality and culture, the Japca monastery has always been managed by pious, educated, industrious and hardy personalities who, by their lifestyle and worldview, used to be true patterns of Christendom. Some prominent people, including those from military field, of a high intellectual quality, approved themselve even in the field of scientific research.
