Despite numerous hypotheses issued in recent years, few are able to foresee what will happen in the medium or long term, and their assumptions do not always come true. The new security equation leads to the conclusion that we have entered an era of strategic uncertainty. The situation is even more complicated since globalization continues, which means that no one can stay out of play. The need for self-protection some states might feel would result in a third reflux of democratization, able to put an end the third stream of democratization. |
