This paper work presents a development method of the innovating abilities of future specialists. Starting from the necessity of developing the innovation abilities the authors offer a competitive approach between the abilities and the responsibilities of engineers and inventors. The development method of some abilities necessary for making new products relies on a workshop at witch authors attended, few years ago, in France. The workshop stimulates the creative abilities by putting the participants in the real situation of making a product. The teams of students of different specializations analysed the causes of the problems, documented about the specific constraints, developed new solutions, applied them in the project, and made them practically. In the workshop, students studied all the necessary fazes for developing a new product, from the idée of the product to its conception and its sales.
