Acest articol reflectă componenţa taxonomică a colecţiilor de plante ornamentale din GB(I) a AŞM. Timp de şase decenii genofondul ornamental a suportat diverse schimbări cantitative şi
calitative. Actualmente este constituit din cca 1500 taxoni, reprezentanţi ai filumului Magnoliophyta. Cele mai numeroase familii: Asteraceae Dum. (305 taxa), Paeoniaceae Rudolphi (250), Iridaceae Juss. (130),Hemerocallidaceae R.Br. (63). Genurile mai mari : Paeonia L. (200), Callisthephus Ness. (108), Iris (80), Chrysanthemum L. (70), Hemerocallis L. (63), Canna L. (23), Sedum L. (28). Metodele efective de completare ale colecţiiilor sunt expediţiile în teren şi scimbul internaţional de seminţe. |

Over six decades the genetic fund has undergone various quantitative and qualitative changes. Currently it amounts about 1500 taxa representing phylum Magnoliophyta. The most numerous families are Asteraceae Dum. (305 taxa), Paeoniaceae Rudolphi (200), Iridaceae Juss. (103), Hemerocallidaceae R.Br. (63). The many genera: Paeonia L. (200), Callisthephus Ness. (108), Iris (80), Chrysanthemum L. (70), Hemerocallis L. (63), Canna L. (23), Sedum L. (28).
