Science and music always interact, eventually, they create a joint structure. As recorded by our Latin ancestors, it is produced coincidentia oppositorium – coincidence or fusion of opposites. The human history is replete with examples of the contribution of science to the development of the theory of music and the music itself. Because of its universal character, music has aroused the curiosity of scientists from different fields of knowledge. The musical phenomenon has generated various questions, for instance: What is the role of music for the life and human existence? Thus, it became the object of interest to Philosophy. What is the impact of music on the inner world of the person, on the human psyche? Thus, it became the object of research of Psychology. What is Sound – the raw material of music – from the physical and acoustic point of view, how is the music spread into the area in which it sounds and what are the properties of this spread – thus, being studied at Physics at the Musical Acoustics section. „The music and the person” under different aspects, could be a direction of research in the Academy of Sciences of Moldova
