Tuberculosis is one of the deadliest infectious diseases in the world. Mycobacterium tuberculosis, causing the disease, has become one of the most resistant pathogens with more and more strains being multi drug- or extensively drug-resistant. This article is dedicated to the potential use of nano and micro-particles loaded with antituberculous substances for the treatment of lung tuberculosis, the most common form of the infection. It also brings up the most important results obtained by the author and his collaborators in this field during the last 2 years |
