Dumitru Crudu’s characters from the novel “Carnage in Georgia” (published at Polirom publishing house in 2008) are the victims of anthropological disaster, harmful mutations within the sphere of humanity, generating social alienation, cracked schizoid identities, non-humans. On the background of the Soviet colossus collapse, almost in synchrony, several young men suffer from nausea and disappointment, the spleen reaches the point of pathology. |
