28 liver samples showing macroscopical lesions were selected from 400 slaughtered fattening pigs of 6 months age. Histological examination, after paraphin embeding and HE stain showed steatosis in 5,25% from the population (400 pigs), liver congestion in 4%, liver ducts prolipherations in 5%, focal necrosis in 3,5%, amiloidoza in 2,25%, pigmentary distrophy in 2,75%. Parasitic lesions produced by Ascaris suum were identified in 0,5% of the population. A surprising high prevalence of seudotumoral and tumoral lesions were observed: focal nodular hyperplasia in 1%, adenoma and carcinoma, both in 0,75% of the population, suggesting a contamination of fodder with carcinogenic mycotoxins (especially aflatoxins) and a high risk for public health. |
