Biological diversity monitoring in the Republic of Moldova: realities and perspectives. The results of current functioning of the subsystem of biological monitoring within integrated ecological monitoring are presented. Four state programs of biological diversity monitoring in the Republic of Moldova are described. The short evaluation of the potentiality of the specialised institutions of biological monitoring activity, as well as the list of requirements for data sampling, analysis
and management according to the established criteria and indicators are presented. Requirements regarding the modification of the observation network and the evaluation of the necessary number of biological monitoring stations and posts are elaborated for all the ecosystems of the Republic of Moldova. The necessary financial support for main institutions within biological monitoring has been calculated. |
