Oral health is an inextricable section, a compartment of health general with many topics not clarified from a scientific point of view. Health misconceptions and negative attitude towards oral health affects general well-being and physical health. Access to dental services is the starting point in the improvement process oral and whole body health. Dental services are of major importance in exceptional situations such as: natural disasters, pandemics, geopolitical conflicts, war. Secondary study was performed, type – narrative synthesis. The sources were analyzed: PubMed, Med ONE, NLM, NCBI, scientific journals; publication dates: 2010-2022; language: english, romanian. People most likely try to look for this type of information directly from their dental practice, however, many people are not registered with a practice. This suggests that there is a continuing need for the public and patients to have clear and effective communication about the services and treatments available, especially in a situation like the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that although there are many negative elements, the quality of dental services in exceptional situations plays a major role in treatment and the availability of first aid. The socially vulnerable population presents a high risk of COVID-19/ exceptional situations for access to oral dental services and less to physical health services. Revising policies, regulations, increasing access to oral health care services and strengthening the general health status of the population. Given the dynamic relationship between oral and general health, dental care should not be neglected even during a public health emergency. The fear of contracting the infection appears to have caused cases of avoidance of dental treatment. In these times of uncertainty, regulatory and public health organizations have made sometimes controversial recommendations to practitioners and the public about how to meet their oral health care needs. The cooperation and mobilization of dentists in providing services to the population in question in extremesituations could facilitate both general health and oral health, contributing to the physical and mental well-being of the population.
