Rezumat

The NCTS began to operate in 2002. On July 1, 2005, it became mandatory in the EU. The current NCTS Phase 4 has been operating since July 1, 2009. NCTS also includes nonEU countries (Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, etc.). By the end of 2023, all countries party to the Convention on the Common Procedure transit required to go to NCTS Phase 5. The issue of accession to the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure is a priority of the State Customs Service of Ukraine for 2021-2022. Full implementation of the common transit system and attracting more foreign trade entities to apply this system will allow Ukraine’s customs service to reduce customs risks associated with transit of goods and the risk of substitution or non-delivery of goods, and bring Ukrainian business closer to integration into the European Economic Community.
