Rezumat

The transition to a sustainable type of economic development involves the implementation of socio-economic policy taking into account the environmental factor. Consequently, for an adequate assessment, traditional macroeconomic indicators characterizing economic growth and development must be adjusted for the value of the environmental component. Currently, methods have been developed that allow assessing the influence of the environmental component on the formation of generalizing indicators of the economic development of the region, and, accordingly, adjusting them for the magnitude of the influence of the environmental factor. The author developed methods for assessing the ecologically adjusted gross regional product and tested it for the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus. In addition to the author's methods that allow assessing the ecologically adjusted GRP, the method for calculating the ecological-socio-economic indicator of adjusted net savings, developed by the World Bank specialists, was adapted to the conditions of Belarusian statistics. In contrast to the traditional indicator, the adjusted net accumulation includes a broader account of human and natural capital, as well as other environmental factors. Using the proposed approach, the author estimated the Adjusted Net Savings for the regions of Belarus.
