Rezumat

The study highlights the most important contributions to the Romanianization of psaltic singing from the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century. Firstly, the paper focuses on the Psaltichie Rumânească /Romanian Psaltiche by Filothei sin Agăi Jipei, the first ecclesiastical musical work in the Romanian language. Further, the influence and extension of the artistic credo affirmed by Filothei in the creation of other authors from the 18th century (Ioan sin Radului Duma Braşoveanu, Constantin Ftori Psalt of the bishopric of Râmnic, Naum Râmniceanu etc.) is revealed. A larger space is reserved for the two major works in order to establish a musical-religious repertoire in the Romanian language - the activity of Macarie Ieromonahul and Anton Pann. A comparative evaluation of the contribution of the two predecessors will favor Anton Pann, who proved to be more daring in respect of the Romanianization of psaltic singing, less enslaved to the Greek model, more sensitive to the musicality of the Romanian language and the desires of artistic truth.
