Rezumat

The content of photosynthetic pigments in leaves is a useful biological marker for assessing the physiological responses to treatments with various plant protection products. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the responses of leaf chlorophylls a, b and carotenoids contents in tomato plants to the application of different combinations of Carbecol and biofungicide Funecol. Experimental data indicated that ecological treatments increased the content of green pigments in tomato leaves. A synergistic effect was registered in the variant with the application of Carbecol 0,4%+Funecol 0,4% in terms of chlorophylls accumulation in plant tissues. The integrated use of these products resulted in an increase in carotenoids concentration in leaves in comparison to the control variant. The highest yield of tomato fruits was registered in the treatment with the combined application of Carbecol and biofungicide Funecol, resulting in a 16% increase. Hence, the experimental results demonstrated that the integrated use of ecological plant protection product Carbecol and Funecol have the potential to improve photosynthetic pigments status and productivity of tomato plants.
