| Rezumat | ||||||
The regulations of international agreements in the field of human rights provide for a series of guarantees regarding the non-application of torture, including the person`s right to notification of detention, the right to request an independent medical examination, the right to know their rights related to the procedural quality and the rules in the place of detention. Within procedural guarantees, the right to have access to a defender plays an important role, because, on the one hand, it prevents the abuse of collaborators of legal authorities, but on the other hand, it determines the effective exercise of the person`s right to defense and reporting cases of torture, if they have occurred. |
