The paper elucidates the results obtained in breeding research on legumes (peas, soybeans and beans) since their inception and until now. The objectives pursued in the improvement works, the methods used in the research, the current problems in each culture and the ways to solve them are fully developed. The characteristics of the varieties created and the directions of perspective scientific activity are exposed. |
