The present study is focused on elucidating the peculiarities of the USSR personnel policy in building the staff of the Moldavian SSR NKGB-MGB sovietic bodies in the first post-war years, which will broaden the understanding of the Moscow sovietization policy hidden resorts implemented in our territory. Also, the research was made mostly based on declassified materials from the former archive of the KGB of the Moldavian SSR, currently the Archive of the Security and Intelligence Service of the Republic of Moldova (ASISRM). Despite the fact that the USSR personnel policy in building the staff of the Moldavian SSR rises scientific interest in the academic environment and not only in the Republic of Moldova, it remains a subject that was not in the research scope of the historians up to this moment. The personnel policy applied by the USSR in the process of establishing the effective NKGB-MGB of the Moldavian SSR represents an inherent component of the restoration and consolidation of Soviet power in the incorporated territory, in the present case, of Bessarabia /Moldavian SSR in the first post-war years. Also, in order to explain the trends pursued by Moscow in the policy of staffing the Soviet security organs of the Moldavian SSR, we will also focus on the analysis of the ethnic composition of the NKGB-MGB of the Moldavian SSR during the reference period.
